<image:title>About - About Michael Andron, Ph.D</image:title>
<image:caption>With a lifetime of expertise in energy healing, Jewish martial arts, breathing, yoga, Qi Gung, meditation, theatre, Brit Milah, acupuncture, and living “in the moment”, Dr. Michael Andron knows how to find the sparks of spirituality in complex subjects... he knows how to simplify those sparks... and teach you to synthesize them into your daily life. He is founder and director of KODESH: A Fellowship for Seekers of Wholeness, a nonprofit organization devoted to personal growth, mind-body effectiveness training, and inner awareness. He has lectured and taught extensively around the world and has been featured in the media. He developed and teaches EnerGenesis, an energy-healing program, unique in its simplicity and effectiveness. He has lectured on energy healing as adjunct faculty in the departments of psychology and medicine at Wake Forest University. He authored The Essential Guide to Energy Healing, with his son Benjamin, an award-winning creative director of motion picture advertising, now available as an e-book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. Dr. Andron is a First-Level Grandmaster and Seventh-Degree Black Belt in the world-renowned Tora Dojo Martial Arts Association. He is a Yoga Adept with almost 50 years teaching experience. He is also an ordained, practicing Mohel. As an experienced theatre director, he developed and taught classes in Martial Arts and Yoga for the Performing Artist as a Psycho-physical Training Tool in the theatre departments at New York University, N.C. School of the Arts, and New World School of the Arts in Miami. He and his wife Lillian have now relocated to Los Angeles, as Michael continues to teach The Kavana Course and The EnerGenesis Protocol.</image:caption>

<image:title>Mohel - Bris Milah</image:title>
<image:caption>A child takes a breath And, as wonder turns to wonder, All things that were, are and will be Change in the world. The breath of life, The prayer of tomorrow. Michael Andron, written for Lillian at the birth of Benjamin Shalom, their son. Almost four thousand years ago, God spoke to Abram and established a covenant: throughout the generations, every Jewish male would be circumcised on the eighth day following his birth, health permitting. This removal of the ‘veil’ of the foreskin represented the deeper removal of the veils that separate us from God, encouraging our discovery of the divine sparks within us. As with Abraham, the first forefather of the Jewish people, who received the name Abraham after his circumcision, the child receives his Hebrew name at the time of the Bris. This name has important spiritual ramifications and should be chosen carefully. Michael will be glad to help you with your search. After about 18,000 babies, and almost four decades doing Brit Milah, Michael has entered his semi-retirement phase as a Mohel, timed with his move to Los Angeles so that he and Lillian could be closer to their son Ben and his incredible family. Feel free to call for information.</image:caption>

<image:title>Theater - Theatre</image:title>
<image:caption>Dr. Andron’s passion for theatre began as a child at Camp Tranquillity. The camp would produce a play a week in a 200-year old barn that had been converted for use as a theater. If you weren’t acting, you were sweeping the floors, or climbing rafters built with wooden pegs instead of nails and aiming floodlights inside #10 tomato paste cans down at the actors. Needless to say, Michael was hooked! By age fifteen, he directed his first show. By seventeen, he was the head theatre counselor. For twelve years – at nine shows a summer – that old barn became Michael’s home away from home. In 1969, while visiting his late brother Sandy, Michael directed a play for a local school and soon became the founding Artistic Director of the Oconee Community Theatre, which is still in operation in Seneca, South Carolina. He completed his B.A. in Speech and Drama at Yeshiva University in 1971 under the incredible mentorship of Dr. Anthony Beukas (Yale, N.Y.U.). In 1973 he completed his M.A. in Educational Theatre at N.Y.U., married his wife Lillian (a professional actress he met at an audition), then returned to Seneca for a year to run the O.C.T. full time before returning to New York and ‘retired’ from theatre to pursue advanced training in martial arts, yoga and energy healing. When their son Ben was eleven, he found Michael’s old scrapbooks and asked if he could be in a play. Michael arranged to direct a production of Oliver! at Ben’s school. The show was a success and the school wanted more. The Hillel Community Theatre was born, which lasted 20 years, with over 50 productions, and a variety of community awards. Many alumni from that program – including their son Ben – went on to pursue careers in entertainment, including theatre, movies and television. In 2007, Michael and Lillian – always working together as a team – moved the operation about 150 yards southwest to found JCAT, the J’s Cultural Arts Theatre at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center. Michael and Lillian received the coveted Remy Award from the South Florida Theatre League for Outstanding Contributions to Community Theater. In 2017, a professional Equity production of Broken Snow by Ben Andron and directed by Michael, was nominated for a Carbonell Award (South Florida’s ‘Tony Award) for Best New Work. They retired from theatre in 2020 and relocated to Sherman Oaks, California, to be closer to Ben and his amazing family. In 2000, he got to fulfill a long-missed dream… he played the role of Henry Albertson, the old actor, in the original Off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks.</image:caption>

<image:title>Tora Dojo - Tora Dojo Karate</image:title>
<image:caption>Michael’s serious education in Kavana (focused attention) began at Yeshiva University when he became a student of Prof. H.I. Sober in Tora Dojo Martial Arts. Tora Dojo Martial Arts is unique: it stresses physical and mental discipline, classical Chinese style martial arts, merged with a vigorous Jewish spirit and Jewish “mystical” philosophy. Tora Dojo was founded by Grand Master H. I. Sober in the International Tora Dojo Martial Arts Association. Although Dr. Andron, “retired” from teaching weekly classes in Tora Dojo after 36 years, he continues to practice and teach classes in Kavana and Jewish Mindfulness.</image:caption>
